Designed and prototyped the interface for an iPad app that aids the visitor who visits the LA Zoo. The app aims to eliminate the usage of paper map, which presents numerous problems:
- Difficulty handling as the size is usually quite large.
- Too much information presented on the map itself, making things look cluttered and hindering the process of searching for information.
- Difficulty finding your own location in the zoo.
While solving that, the companion app also helps the visitor in the way that it allows the visitor to learn more about each animals. The app also allows the visitor to queue animals that they want to see which turns the app to a navigational system for the visitor.
This app was coded using ActionScript on Adobe Flash CS5.5 and compiled to an ipa file using Adobe AIR.
